Welcome to Necrotales Miniatures
"Death did not come with the thunderous gallop of a pale horse nor the wicked song of a blackened scythe hissing through the air. His was a quiet and patient arrival cloaked in the subtle hesitation that turns hopeful tomorrows into regretful yesterdays."

A miniature enthusiast's website created by multiple Golden Demon winner Kep Pump. Here there be tutorials, gallery images (including minis from Reaper, Games Workshop / Citadel, Wizards of the Coast), and a sprinkling of fun diversions such as the zombie name generator. Enjoy your visit!

Emails, Contact, and a Quick Q&A

I've responded to the last two or three people who have written me through the Necrotales contact form, but in each case the email has bounced back to me immediately. Every single one was from a hotmail address. It's possible hotmail is blocking gmail accounts; they've done so in the past, so it wouldn't surprise me if they're doing it again.

If you're one of the people who wrote me and put in a hotmail address, try again and use something other than hotmail, please.

Meanwhile, this seems to be a common question so I'll just answer it here:

Q - How would you paint genestealers in your tyranid scheme? They don't have carapaces as such so wouldn't necessarily follow your examples.

A - I have yet to paint any genestealers. I'm not sure why not, but it means I'm forced to guess how I'd paint them.

I would most likely stick with the bone-like colour all over and speckle the top of their heads and backs with the dot-patterning rather than the blue lines. The closest example would be one of the termagants armed with spinefists in the gallery. I'd probably mix in a bit of VMC Brown Violet as well, to give the genestealer a variation that doesn't depend on a carapace.

Hope that gets you in the right direction!

Maybe I'll start up a question and answer session via news. ;)

I have photos for two new tutorials, as well as a decent bunch of Grey Knights and Angels of Redemption images to add to the galleries, but I've been too focused on my browser game Muelsfell to create the tutorials. Sooner or later.
